WHO AM I

Vladimir Zinkevich was born on January 23, 1951 in Strelichevo, a small village in Gomel Region, Belarus. In 1977 he graduated from the Belarusian State Institute of Theatre and Arts (now the Belarusian State Academy of Arts) with a degree in monumental and decorative art.

Vladimir Zinkevich has participated in various national and international exhibitions and art forums, among them are Youth of the Country (a USSR art exhibition in Moscow, Russia, 1984), Republican Exhibition of Monumental Art (Minsk, 2011), personal exhibition in Spectrum Gallery in Bad Salzuflen, Germany (1993), Modern Art of Belarus in Verona, Udine and Treviso, (Italy, 1985), Modern Painting of Belarus exhibition in Bonn during the Decade of Belarusian Culture in Germany (1994), Gateway to the East ( Bramante Exhibition Centre, Rome, Italy, 2000), Modern Art of Belarus (Fabriano, Italy, 2001), Modern Belarusian Artists (Pierre Cardin Gallery, Paris, France, 2002), Belarusian Palette (Thyssenkrupp Gallery, Dusseldorf, Germany, 2004), Modern Belarusian Art (Geneva Hall of Nations, Switzerland, 2004), and exhibitions of Belarusian artists in Bern, Switzerland (2004) and Brussels, Belgium (2004) held in the building of the European parliament.

Besides, Vladimir Zinkevich took part in the exhibitions of the Belarusian artists during Days of Belarusian Culture in Great Britain (International Investment Forum in London, 2008), Syrian Arab Republic (Damask, 2008), Arab Republic of Egypt (Cairo, 2008), and China (Beijing, 2008). In 2010 Vladimir Zinkevich participated in the Belarusian Graphic Arts exhibition called “The Print” in Budapest (Hungary) and in Moscow International Art Salon (Russia), etc.

Works by Vladimir Zinkevich are kept in the collections of the Belarusian National Arts Museum, Museum of Modern Fine Arts, art gallery of the Belarusian Union of Artists, Tradition gallery in Svetlogorsk, Belarus, National Tretiakov Gallery in Moscow, Anixis gallery in Baden, Switzerland, Spectrum gallery in Bad Salzuflen, Germany, Thyssenkrupp gallery in Dusseldorf, Germany, MEF Gallery in Prague, the Czech Republic, the Ayyam gallery in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, as well as in many private collections in England, United Arab Emirates, Belgium, Germany, USA, Italy, China, Malta, Poland, Russia, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, etc.
